TEESSIDE HIGH NEWS

I HAVE NOT BEEN INFORMED OF ANY FURTHER PROBLEMS OF INFECTION AT TEESSIDE HIGH AMONGST THEIR OWN PUPILS AND NONE OF OUR STUDENTS HAVE REPORTED ANY ILLNESS SO I CAN ONLY ASSUME THAT ALL IS BACK TO NORMAL.

THE WORKSHOPS ARE SOON - YEE-HA!

Only a few weeks now until the main school workshop week at the Oakwood Centre, Eaglescliffe. Here are a few photos from previous workshops to whet your appetite. 2 new teachers are joining us this year - Robin Mills for Dance and Jodie Taibi for the setting of the songs. In 2007 we had vampires as a theme, last year we were with musicals set in Victorian times. In 2009 we are running with a comic Western theme. HOW TO GET THE BEST OUT OF THIS SITE

For the sake of young people coming to our site, or parents who are not over-familiar with using the Internet, below are some suggestions of how to use our site to the best advantage:-

HOW TO FIND WHAT YOU NEED

  • Save our site to your “favourites” so that we are quick and easy to find

  • All the areas to explore are down the right-hand edge of this page - as you pass your mouse cursor across them they will become underlined and this means that they will open other screens if you left click on them

  • Go to the SEARCH box. It is very comprehensive and only searches our site. Type in a key word or name and it will bring up all posts which contain that word – either in the title, or in the body of the piece. Students - experiment by typing in your name. See if you are on here. If not, then send us a message (eg tell us why you like coming to Stagecoach) and add a photo and send by e mail via  publishstuff@gmail.com and then you can put that right.

  • Any parent letters that are sent out are also posted to the site under the category “newsletters”. If you lose yours or the postman manages to lose it then it is accessible 24 hours a day.

  • You should regularly check the following categories to make sure you are not missing out;- AUDITIONS, OPPORTUNITIES, WHAT`S ON, NEWS, LOST AND FOUND, PARENTS. Click on the drop down box under the bold word “Categories” to the top right.

  • If you always check the “LATEST” link, every time you visit the site and scroll through the posts, until you come to something you have previously read, you will NEVER miss anything.

  • If you would like to be e mailed every time there is a change on this site -  so that you do not miss anything, then go to http://www.watchthatpage.com/ and register the following link from our site as being something you want to watch:-http://www.darlingtonandyarm.co.uk/stagecoach/index.php   Then as soon as something changes, you will receive an e mail to advise you that a change has happened. It is a free service.

  • The SYSTEM section is not of any use to visitors. It is for our administration only. YOU do not have to log-in

  • If an article posted asks for you to key in a password, then it is “password protected”, this is to safeguard the information for Stagecoach families only. (Our passwords are changed regularly each term). N.B. Some posts are put up for administrative reasons only and password protected with something that only I know but this does not apply to anything in AUDITIONS or OPPORTUNITIES. If you forget the password, then send me an e mail, giving the name of your child, on yarm@stagecoach.co.uk and I`ll let you know what it is.
