There is now a definite date for “Priscilla Queen of the Desert” to open at the Palace Theatre in the West End - March 24th with Jason Donovan in the lead role. If you follow this Youtube ink to the clip from the show, taken when it was wowing audiences in Australia, you will see the part that our very own Zoe will be playing. There are 3 divas singing on scaffolding above the stage and being the singing voices of the 3 men in the lead roles. Zoe will be one of those divas.
Zoe Birkett is returning to Darlington on Friday 7th November t to raise funds for Downs Syndrome children in the region. There is an event at Darlington Rugby Club, Blackwell on that night. Tickets cost £25 and can be ordered on 07806 707466

Britanny Knowles of Darlington Further Stages, is a very talented singer and will be performing in the Metro Centre (outside House of Fraser) on Tuesday 8th April at 12.30pm.
She will be appearing also at the Journal Tyne Theatre on 27th April as part of the “Live and Unsigned” project.
Britanny is also singing as part of the Music Means Life project at the Rainton Meadows Arena on 17th April. This is a charity supporting teenage cancer sufferers and they are trying to build a specialised unit for these patients. Also performing at this event are Zoe Birkett and Journey South. Zoe was recently asked to dance in a surprise promotion for the re-release of the thriller album (25th anniversary) This involved the dancers travelling incognito to random parts of London and then breaking into the thriller dance routine when the music started and then melting back into the crowd when it was over. There are two youtube clips on the links below. One filmed in China Town and one on the underground. Hilarious!
