Tuesday, April 27th, 2010STARE gig at Hummersknott School this Saturday PLUS STARE training this term
Tuesday, April 20th, 2010The STARE performance group are engaged to perform the “Hairspray” number at a charity concert, organised by Vicky McIntyre (Darlington Further Stages) this coming Saturday 24th April at Hummersknott School, Edinburgh Drive, Darlington.
Janie has asked me to pass on to the members of STARE that some of them still have costume pieces in their possession and therefore need to bring those items with them. STARE should meet with Janie at the entrance to the school at 8pm so that she can block the routine for those who are able to do the gig. You will be performing at about 8.45pm by opening up the second half of the show.
STARE training for the Summer Term
STARE training starts again on Sunday 24th April at Teesside High School with Singing STARE from 1.30pm until 2.30pm. The week after it will be Dance STARE 1.30pm until 3.00pm (except for Yarm Afternoon members who need to leave for their classes at 2.30pm). Every week after that the sessions will alternate between Singing STARE and Dance STARE at those same times.

Nick is Transformed
Friday, April 16th, 2010Nick Brown, lately of Yarm Further Stages and STARE, was recently conned (I mean persuaded) to play the part of the cross-dressing character in “Hairspray”, as a highlight, when STARE`s performance closed the Vibe Awards this year at Darlington Civic Theatre.
Hayley Moohan sent these photos in to show Nick`s transformation.
Nick has had a bit of a health scare lately and I would publicly like to say how delighted I am, and we all are, that Nick is on the mend.
Nick`s contribution to the “Life” of Stagecoach (with a capital L) has been enormous over the years and we worried that we would miss him enormously on Sundays at Stagecoach Yarm, once he left Further Stages, after his A Levels, in the summer. But as it is, Nick has kept popping back and helping out and is frequently seen around the place. We love you Nick!!

Video Footage of the Vibe Awards - winners and entertainment
Monday, February 15th, 2010This year the organisers of the Vibe Awards made a video of the two award nights and here is some preliminary footage on this link. (Other more detailed stuff will follow). The All Boys Dance Class and STARE performed at the Vibes this year on the Wednesday evening and the following students who live in Darlington, and are therefore eligible, were nominated by me for an award in various categories, either for exceptional achievement in a Performing Arts sphere this year or for achievement within their private life:-
