Sad News for Jamie

Monday, September 21st, 2009

It was a sad day for Jamie Lock today, as he found out that his bid to be one of the next Olivers in the West End was not to be.  Because he lives so far away from London, he cannot also now be considered for Fagin`s gang either.

I know how fed up Jamie will feel for a while, and yet it is such a magnificent achievement in its own right to be one of the last 4 contenders at that level and I`m sure you would want to join me in congratulating that achievement and sympathising with Jamie`s disappointment.  It is a hard lesson that he has had to learn early on, that success for anyone in the Performing Arts field is very hard won.

Latest Progress Report on Jamie Lock

Friday, September 18th, 2009

Jamie Lock of the Wednesday Darlington Stagecoach school has been through several more gruelling hours of auditions for the part of ”Oliver” in the West End. Yesterday Cameron Mackintosh brough 18 people to watch him go through his paces again. But still a decision has not been made. Jamie has been told that they will let them know the decision after the weekend. As you can see from his photo - Jamie is still smiling!

Elliot Ready for the Off!!

Thursday, September 3rd, 2009

Below is a couple of photos of Elliot Allinson in his new school uniform. Like many boys he is getting ready for the start of the new term in secondary school, but for Elliot it is a bit different than usual because in September he is joining Sylvia Young`s Stage School in London on a full time basis.

We will miss you Elliot and hope you work hard and make your mark. We will be glad to see you whenever you are home!

Elliot ready for school

Elliot has been with us exactly 4 years this September and has shown excellent promise throughout, achieving selection in the West end tour of “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang”,  ALMOST being selected to play in the West End stage version of “Billy Elliot” and most recently being cast as one of Fagin`s gang in the West End version of “Oliver”. Those are wonderful credits in one so young.

Tomson meets Hollie Steel from “Britain`s Got Talent”

Wednesday, September 2nd, 2009

I received this e mail from Tomson Boylett`s mum Mandy today. What a lovely story!

As you know, I like to create websites. I made a fan site for Hollie Steel from Britain’s Got Talent here: http://holliesteel.org.uk

Her parents liked the site very much, and as a thank you invited me and my family to see them for the day at their home in Huncoat.

We all had a lovely time, and I am attaching a photo I took of Tomson with Hollie.

And I`ve added one from Hollie`s web site of Tomson`s mum!
