Keira`s Stolen Cookie

Thursday, February 17th, 2011

Keira Williams, of the older Early Stages group in Darlington, took pirate bear home recently, only to have him disappear. When he was finally tracked down he was found in the kitchen cupboard dipping a stolen cookie into the honey jar. She even brought the cookie in as proof. I`m so sorry Keira. You just can`t trust that bear at all - as others found this week……

Message received from Lucy Moohan

Well Trudy,
Pirate Bear was very naughty at the Moohan household. He cut off barbies hair, ate all the sweets, sneaked into the pirate treasure box and then decided to run away!
The photos are evidence!!
Good riddance Pirate Bear,
Love from Lucy Moohan x

Pirate Bear Finds an Ally

Wednesday, January 19th, 2011

Pirate bear had a wonderful time at Leah`s house. He found that she even had the same fashion sense as him! He thought it was home from home when she let him into the doll`s house.

The Return of PIRATE BEAR - and his adventures

Tuesday, September 28th, 2010

Pirate Bear used to be a regular visitor to our web site but the swine flu outbreak last year sent him into exile. But here he is as large as life and full of fun. He has been known to get up to mischief when staying with our students and we do like to know what he gets up to so please e mail us with any diary entries or photos so that we can keep up with him

Sophie younger`s mum of Yarm Early Stages has started us off ….

Hi Everyone, I’m Pirate Bear. I’m a very lucky little bear as I’m
spending the year with Darlington and Yarm  Early Stages groups. Each week I get to go home with one of the boys or girls and can’t wait to see what fun and excitement I get to have!

This week I went to Sophie’s. As you can see we were both very excited!

Sophie Younger

I got to go to school with her for show and tell. I wanted to tell all
the boys and girls how much fun stagecoach is but the teacher said Sophie would have to do this as my little voice wasn’t loud enough for everyone to hear. I will have to ask Trudy and Clare to teach me how to project my voice! I went back to school later in the week and all the other children had their teddies in too. We (the bears) got to play games while the children made us little luggage tags so we would always find our way home if we got lost.

I also went to gymnastics and rainbows where we got to sing a really fun song and play lots of games.

On Saturday it was Sophie’s Grandma’s birthday tea party. It was lots of fun and there were lots of cakes and other yummy things. We played some more games there and had a great time.

Thanks Sophie - I had such a great time! It was a very busy week and by the end I was quite tired but as soon as I got back to Stagecoach and saw all the other children I couldn’t wait to see what I would get to do next!

Jack Heywood and the mini bear

Saturday, November 28th, 2009

Jack Heywood recently earned the right to take home a mini bear for his efforts at Stagecoach. Jack chose a blue bear and instantly found a home for it in his garden

Then Jack noticed that his little friend looked a little lonely so he found him a couple of friends

Soon mini bear had so many friends that he had no time to be lonely. I think that meercat is a celebrity. I`m sure I`ve seen him on Compare the Meercat.com   psss Simples!

Pirate Bear - up to no good AGAIN!!

Wednesday, September 2nd, 2009

In sorting out my boxes from the end of last term, I came upon these two photographs of the pirate bear up to hs old tricks but there was no name on the photos so I don`t know whose house he was staying in at the time. BUT….. someone`s  mum seems to be dragging him out of the dog`s dinner and then he is spotted reading “Kung Foo Panda” to get a few revenge tips I think.

Hayley kept it quiet about being Head Girl

Tuesday, July 14th, 2009

I spotted this article in the paper recently about Hayley Moohan being Head Girl of Hurworth Comprehensive School. It was the first I knew about it and it looks as if it is the end of her term of duty. Hayley is from Yarm Further Stages and is also a helper to some of our Early Stages students. Heather Hinds, of Darlington Further Stages and an Early stages helper, was also Head Girl of Carmel School, Darlington, last year and she kept that quiet too. I am certain that they both did a fantastic job of leading the students in their schools. Well done girls.
