Early Stages Bear Diaries

Thursday, October 4th, 2007

All Early Stages students are taking turns to carry home a teddy to stay with them for the week. Teddy has to be given a name by the child and has to come back the week afterwards and tell us where he has been.

Some children choose to keep a bear diary and when they do we will post them to this site. We also hope that parents will take some digital photographs of the bear and child together and e mail them to us for this section.

Firstly we have Emelia Boyle with her teddy`s adventures:-

Jack Heywood and the mini bear

Saturday, November 28th, 2009

Jack Heywood recently earned the right to take home a mini bear for his efforts at Stagecoach. Jack chose a blue bear and instantly found a home for it in his garden

Then Jack noticed that his little friend looked a little lonely so he found him a couple of friends

Soon mini bear had so many friends that he had no time to be lonely. I think that meercat is a celebrity. I`m sure I`ve seen him on Compare the Meercat.com   psss Simples!

Pirate Bear - up to no good AGAIN!!

Wednesday, September 2nd, 2009

In sorting out my boxes from the end of last term, I came upon these two photographs of the pirate bear up to hs old tricks but there was no name on the photos so I don`t know whose house he was staying in at the time. BUT….. someone`s  mum seems to be dragging him out of the dog`s dinner and then he is spotted reading “Kung Foo Panda” to get a few revenge tips I think.

Hayley kept it quiet about being Head Girl

Tuesday, July 14th, 2009

I spotted this article in the paper recently about Hayley Moohan being Head Girl of Hurworth Comprehensive School. It was the first I knew about it and it looks as if it is the end of her term of duty. Hayley is from Yarm Further Stages and is also a helper to some of our Early Stages students. Heather Hinds, of Darlington Further Stages and an Early stages helper, was also Head Girl of Carmel School, Darlington, last year and she kept that quiet too. I am certain that they both did a fantastic job of leading the students in their schools. Well done girls.

Thank you from Poppy`s mum

Tuesday, July 14th, 2009

Please may you say a big thank you to all concerned with Stagecoach and that  the commitment and dedication to the children is noticed by everyone. From  our perspective we have had an interesting first year with Pop but think we
have now settled down finally. We get updates on lessons each day through the week, and lots of singing in the car!! A big thank you to Janey and Sue  for their patience with her. I am still convinced that this is her thing and will continue to encourage her.
Finally as ever a big thank to yourself for your professionalism and dedication to the whole school. It is a very happy place which is the most  important thing, but all the children are very committed, something you have  instilled in them.
May I wish you a restful Summer and we will be at the workshops in August.

Best Regards

Emma Percival

Pip and the Burglar Bear

Tuesday, June 23rd, 2009

Pip from Yarm Early Stages had a lot of trouble with the Pirate Bear. First he ran off with the Stagecoach biscuits - It`s a wonder he has any teeth left!! And as soon as Pip had told him off for that he dived into the sticker box and tried to make off with lots of them. Pip stopped him thank goodness but he got a bit stuck up into the bargain whilst doing so!!
