Janie Lavelle

Thursday, July 12th, 2007

Janie, like Gill came to us originally as a parent of a Stagecoach student. Lucy was an Early Stages student in our first Yarm venue - Layfield School. James joined us later at Darlington. Janie gave me her cv but I was not looking for teachers at the time. Later Hartlepool Stagecoach was looking for an Early Stages teacher and I recommended Janie. She got the job and worked there for several years. Later I was looking for an Early Stages teacher and Janie was an obvious choice. She made herself so invaluable that soon she was the “Early Stages Queen of Darlington”. Whilst she is a Dance specialist, Janie teaches Singing and Drama to different Early Stages timings. She now teaches Dance at Northallerton main school and is the choreographer for dancing STARE, who perform throughout the region.

Janie is also very efficient creative and artistic, so she works as wardrobe mistress, looking after my 2 units of costumes and props, which are housed in Stockton Business Centre. I love Janie`s sense of humour with the little ones, her kindness and care to her colleagues, her hard work and her great choreography skills. Her years on cruise ships as lead girl, have created a very stylish dancer and creative teacher. (watch her do the Can Can on the Youtube clip on Vicky Bilton`s page) Enjoy your holiday in the Caribbean Janie (and Lucy and James). You`ve earned the rest.

Trudy.

Janie

Hi,

This is Janie who should hopefully be lying on a beach somewhere in the Dominican Republic! Just a note to wish you all the best of luck on Stagecoach’s 10th Anniversary. I’ll be thinking of you between sips of my caribbean cocktails HAHA. On a more loving note i would like to thank Trudy and Stagecpach for beliveing in me all of those years ago when i stepped into the Stagecoach family circle, giving me the chance to pass on my experience of performing arts and life to the children.

I hope i have come up to the expectations and hope that some of the advice i have given has helped the children along.

I love working as a team which i feel is what Stagecoach is all about. We all work together and help eachother making us all friends aswell as work colleagues.

I would like to send a special good luck to S.T.A.R.E and both Further Stages who are performing on Saturday without my help - ARGH!!!

No really, im sure they will do fine, and i would like them to know I am really proud of their work and I think they are a great crowd.

Hugs and kisses to all of my Early Stages, who are not actually performing on Saturday, but whom I shall always hold close to my heart. One day i shall begin to see them appearing in Further Stages. THEN I WILL FEEL OLD!

So break a leg everyone! If im not lost in the Bermuda Triangle or hurricanes, I will see you all back in September!

Love you all loads.
