Claire Woolf / Monaghan
Tuesday, July 10th, 2007Claire started out as the Dance Teacher for the Friday school and also the Dance teacher for Yarm Further Stages and Yarm Early Stages, where she teaches Singing and Drama to some Early Stages classes, as well as her Dance. Claire has been trained at The London Studio Centre which is one of the main London Drama schools but still wished to continue with more educational training so this summer has completed her mainstream teaching qualification ( PGCE), which followed on from her Dance Degree taken at Sunderland University.
In February Claire married her husband Simon to become Mrs Monaghan and went on a six week honeymoon around the world - I am NOT jealous! She lives in the Londonderry Arms pub that they run in Long Newton (very nice food - I can recommend it).
Claire has taught, since its inception, the All Boys Dance Class at The QE College, Darlington from 7.30pm until 9.00pmon Friday evenings. Claire has done a remarkable job with them. They are a strong and skilled group of boys who get on really well together.
If we ask nicely, Claire might send us a photo of the wedding……. pretty please…

I have been fortunate to work for Stagecoach for the past two years, during which time I have been made to feel very welcome, not only as a valued member of the team, but also with support and guidance.
A lot has happened in my personal and professional life, within these two years, not only have I successfully completed my dance degree, and just recently my post graduate teaching certificate in dance but I also got hitched !!.
I have been fortunate to teach the whole range of levels at Stagecoach, from Early Stages, Main School, Further Stages and most recently the introduction of the Billy Elliot Boys Only classes. As much as I enjoy teaching all of my classes, I have particularly enjoyed being the pioneering teacher for the Billy Elliot class. The boys have really blown me away with their talent and enthusiasm for the subject, and I have achieved a great deal of satisfaction from seeing them develop.
This Saturday’s performance should be one to remember for a long time, and I look forward to spending the next ten years with Stagecoach.
