Theo - Wins a Place at The Brit School !!
Theo Close of Further Stages was excited beyond belief, on the last day of term, to find out that he had won a place at The Brit School in London, for September.
Theo was a long-time member of Darlington Friday school before he joined Further Stages. He is also a member of the All Boy Dance Class and an excellent Early Stages helper.
Theo deserves every ounce of his success because of his dedication and hard work and constant optimism and good humour. We are all going to miss him.
Theo has made a very good all-round student because he has worked hard on his Dance skills within the boys dance class and was one of the students who earned a distinction in his Acting LAMDA exam. He also has a stunning singing voice with a wonderful tone.
He also showed what I have a particular interest in - initiative. He researched the Brit School and found it was the only Drama School which provides a Drama school education for free, like state schools and so he applied. And now he`s off!! And he`s only 16. A brilliant opportunity. Theo will be in good company. Former Brit School students have been Leona Lewis, Katie Melua, Amy Winehouse, Kate Nash and Adele. Let`s hope the next big name is Theo Close!

Well done to Theo. KNEW you would get in. BUT boo hoo, boo hoo what will i do without you next year?! Just be yourself and soon I will be buying your first single or coming to watch you in the West End. Good luck x

Excellent news Theo!
Theo worked his socks off in my singing class and always shone in the shows. He is a remarkable leader and has remained grounded. He truly deserves to succeed in his new venture. I will miss his smiley face around the place. (and now I’m off to have a good cry…..WAHhhhhhhhh!!!!!)
