Sanaz is Accepted at The Royal Academy of Music

Sanaz Lavasani from Yarm Sunday AM Stagecoach excelled in Singing and went to the Royal Northern College of Music,  in Manchester,  on Saturdays, for a couple of years after she left Stagecoach. She then won a place at the prestigious Guildhall in London. After she graduated she wanted to continue her training at the highest level and I am delighted to say that Sanaz has won a place at The Royal Academy of Music on the post-graduate Musical Theatre course. Apparently the course tutor works with Cameron Mackintosh and the graduates have a 98% chance of working in the industry afterwards. I have to say that it could not happen to a lovelier girl.  Sanaz is a kind and lovely-natured girl.

She will always hold a special place in my memories because she sang an operatic aria at my 50th birthday five years ago, which earned her a standing ovation. My mum and my auntie and uncle loved it. My mum did not live many weeks after this and Sanaz kindly recorded the aria to be played at my mum`s funeral.  My uncle died very recently and the family also requested that it be played at his funeral too.  They had listened to versions by Kiri Te Kanawa and Katherine Jenkins who were favourite singers of my uncle but they preferred Sanaz`s version. I have uploaded it to this posting so that others can share the pleasure that Sanaz gave.
