Successful Performances at Middlesbrough Theatre
On Sunday 25th October, we joined other dance schools and some gymnastic squads to entertain an audience at Middlesbrough Theatre. It was to raise funds for neurological research and it was organised by Gill Hugill, whose daughter, nicknamed Baby G had suffered a brain aneurism at the age of 16 years and very nearly died. She has made an excellent recovery now although her sight has been quite badly affected. She danced in the show to her favourite song “Miracles”. It was her mum`s wish to give something back to the hospital that nursed her daughter.
There was a full programme to the show that they entitled “All in this Together”. Stagecoach provided acts which included STARE with a medley from “Grease”, Lucy Lavelle singing a Whitney Houston song, to which Darrien Wright danced an amazing solo routine, the Boys Dance Class revisited “Ballet into the Bad Side” and we led the finale with the whole company in “We`re All in This Together” from Hairspray.
There were some photos taken back stage and as as soon as people start sending them in I will add them to this post. I will also let you know the fundraising total.
