Sad News for Jamie

It was a sad day for Jamie Lock today, as he found out that his bid to be one of the next Olivers in the West End was not to be.  Because he lives so far away from London, he cannot also now be considered for Fagin`s gang either.

I know how fed up Jamie will feel for a while, and yet it is such a magnificent achievement in its own right to be one of the last 4 contenders at that level and I`m sure you would want to join me in congratulating that achievement and sympathising with Jamie`s disappointment.  It is a hard lesson that he has had to learn early on, that success for anyone in the Performing Arts field is very hard won.

Stephanie Manuel, the founder of Stagecoach, had heard from me about Jamie getting through all the audition stages for Oliver and has sent him this message:-

Sorry about your lad not getting Oliver…. but that’s this business for
you. He must be good to have got that far! Tell him well done from me.

So sorry Jamie, you must be gutted, you must have showed great potential for them to take it so far, most kids dont even get past the first hurdle, I am sure a bright future is on its way, just be patient, one thing leads to another in this business so dont be too down hearted, you never know what is round the corner.
