Well Done Lucy!!
Lucy Lavelle of Yarm Further Stages and one of our Early Stages helpers, has learned recently that she has gained a top class Singing qualification - A Diploma in Musical Theatre from LCM (London College of Music). This qualification means that Lucy could teach Singing and is a real feather in her cap considering that most people would not be able to sit this high level of exam before university. Lucy has a stunning Singing voice and is hoping to pursue Musical Theatre or Singing as a career. I am sure that you would join me in wishing her all the best as she leaves Further Stages this term to have a year out. She will be applying for Drama school places for September 2010. Lucy will stay with us as an Early Stages helper for the year, so you will still see her around. Congratulations also to Pippa , her private Singing teacher for her expertise in getting Lucy through her exam. Pippa is an ex-Singing teacher of ours, who comes back to help out with the “Joseph” singing tuition when the show comes to town, and we are asked to provide a choir. Unfortunately new teaching commitments, at places like The Sage in Gateshead, have meant that Pippa has given up teaching private Singing students, which is a great shame.

Congratulations to Lucy Lavelle on passing her Diploma
I was thrilled to hear Lucy has passed her Diploma L.C.M. in Singing.
Lucy has worked very hard for a lot of years to achieve this standard.
To achieve this standard so early in her life is fantastic.
She was entered for her Diploma by Pippa Hull, a former teacher of Stagecoach.
She assists in my Early Stages Classes and I’m very impressed with her
attitude and commitment to teaching the children.
She will go far and I wish her well for the future and in all that she does.
PS. You can have my job when I’m 60!!!!
