Amy Tells Us What Is Involved With Membership of The National Youth Choir
Amy`s mum has kindly sent me this information about what membership of the National Youth Choir involves, in case anyone else is tempted to apply.
“Amy has been accepted into the Northern Girls’ Choir of the National Youth Choirs of Gt Britain. Amy, aged 12, will stay in this choir until she is 15 years of age or unless she is promoted earlier into the Training Choir (aged 14 - 18 years). The senior choir is the next step and this is for ages 16 - 21 years. She attends two courses each year, in the Easter and Summer holidays, the first one being in Oxford. She will hopefully get to travel and gain new experiences and friends throughout her time with the choir and get to work with experienced composers and conductors. The senior choir is going on an American tour this summer.”
