A note from Stagecoach Down Under

Dear Trudy,

10 years on!! How can you believe it?!!

A note from Stagecoach Down Under.

Stagecoach in Perth, Western Australia would like to wish Stagecoach in Darlington and Yarm a very happy 10th Anniversary year and may you have many more years to come. It was a pleasure to have been involved with Yarm from the start when Wesley started in the Early Stages programme and the wonderful staff who made us feel so welcome and who used to make me a cup of tea!! Wesley still goes to Stagecoach - he is now 14!! Do go to www.WhipLashtheatre.com and view  the recent production that he was involved in (Luigi Pirandello’s “Six Characters in Search of an Author”). His sister, Ainslea (7 years) was also involved. She too goes to Stagecoach in Australia.

We thank you Trudy for all your support in those early days and to me as a Principal of Stagecoach in Hartlepool (during 1998-1999) prior to coming to Australia in 1999 and launching Stagecoach in Perth in 2000.

We miss you!! Do have a celebratory drink on us!! Happy Birthday!!

Serena

    Hello Serena

Miss you too. You forgot to mention how influential Wesley was in the history of Stagecoach Yarm…. The very next day after we opened for the first classes, I came home from my day job to have Jeff tell me that a film director had been on the phone looking for a little boy to play in his film. I thought Jeff was winding me up but it was true. in the end Wesley, who was only 6 at the time and was in Early Stages, won the part. It was a semi-autobiographical film. Mike Figgis was the director`s name and he had been Oscar nominated. Not a bad start for us!!! Well done Wes! And I hope you all roll up on my doorstep again soon.

BY THE WAY STUDENTS CAN READ ABOUT STAGECOACH PERTH IN THIS EDITION OF “YOUNG PERFORMER”. MINE ARRIVED THIS MORNING.
