STOP PRESS
VACANCIES FOR THE SPRING TERM
Our New Term starts on any of these dates - Wednesday 7th, Thursday 8th, Friday 9th, Saturday 10th, Sunday 11th January. We have a limited number of vacancies to start then for children aged from rising four year olds to 16 years. Please ring 01325 337667 for details of the openings.
Cabaret is the Theme of the Term in Main School
All our seven main schools are running a “Cabaret” show for parents this term and with immaculate timing, Samantha Bark, runner-up in BBC`s “I`d Do Anything” will be paying our Further Stages a visit in January to run a workshop based on “Cabaret”. Samantha is touring with the show to the Sunderland Empire and, later in the year, to Darlington Civic. Samantha knows all about Stagecoach because she was a student of Stagecoach herself in the Isle of Man. The students of the Saturday afternoon school should catch a glimpse of her too.

GLADRAGS WORLD RECORD ATTEMPT COMPLETED

Stagecoach celebrates its overall 20th Anniversary this year with many productions of a new musical “Gladrags”. Our Darlington PM students performed the show on December 6th for an attempt on the Guinness World Record for the largest number of simultaneous performances in the world of the same show. We are currently sending off our proof that we completed our show and waiting to hear from Guinness as to whether we have beaten the previous record.
Above is pictured Stephanie Manuel (the founder of Stagecoach) with our patron, Philip Scholfield.
WHAT NOT TO MISS
Our Early Stages PIRATE Project was a big hit! But Captain Janie (pictured below) says that it is time for a show next with Early Stages. “Happy Hat Land” here we come!

If you want to see the archive of pirate photos from the Autumn term - some to go up on the site across Christmas - then go to “Early Stages Bear Diaries” in the CATEGORIES drop-down box
HOW TO USE OUR SITE
For the sake of young people coming to our site, or parents who are not over-familiar with using the Internet, below are some suggestions of how to use our site to the best advantage:-
HOW TO FIND WHAT YOU NEED
-
Save our site to your “favourites” so that we are quick and easy to find
-
All the areas to explore are down the right-hand edge of this page - as you pass your mouse cursor across them they will become underlined and this means that they will open other screens if you left click on them
-
Go to the SEARCH box. It is very comprehensive and only searches our site. Type in a key word or name and it will bring up all posts which contain that word – either in the title, or in the body of the piece. Students - experiment by typing in your name. See if you are on here. If not, then send us a message (eg tell us why you like coming to Stagecoach) and add a photo and send by e mail via publishstuff@gmail.com and then you can put that right.
-
Any parent letters that are sent out are also posted to the site under the category “newsletters”. If you lose yours or the postman manages to lose it then it is accessible 24 hours a day.
-
You should regularly check the following categories to make sure you are not missing out;- AUDITIONS, OPPORTUNITIES, WHAT`S ON, NEWS, LOST AND FOUND, PARENTS. Click on the drop down box under the bold word “Categories” to the top right and see all our old categories re-appear, including the five I have just mentioned.
-
If you always check the “LATEST” link, every time you visit the site and scroll through the posts, until you come to something you have previously read, you will NEVER miss anything.
-
If you would like to be e mailed every time there is a change on this site - so that you do not miss anything, then go to http://www.watchthatpage.com/ and register the following link from our site as being something you want to watch:-http://www.darlingtonandyarm.co.uk/stagecoach/index.php Then as soon as something changes, you will receive an e mail to advise you that a change has happened. It is a free service.
-
You can visit other useful sites related to ours by clicking on our EXTERNAL LINKS section
-
The SYSTEM section is not of any use to visitors. It is for our administration only. YOU do not have to log-in
-
If an article posted asks for you to key in a password, then it is “password protected”, this is to safeguard the information for Stagecoach families only. (Our passwords are changed regularly each term). N.B. Some posts are put up for administrative reasons only and password protected with something that only I know but this does not apply to anything in AUDITIONS or OPPORTUNITIES. If you forget the password, then send me an e mail, giving the name of your child, on yarm@stagecoach.co.uk and I`ll let you know what it is.
-
NEW VISITORS, it is best to browse all the categories to give you a flavour of what a Stagecoach training is all about. Look up TESTIMONIALS and PERFORMANCE SUCCESSES and PRESS CLIPPINGS in the CATEGORIES drop down box. If you want further written information sending to you, e mail publishstuff@gmail.com, or you wish to apply for a place online, then go to our HOW TO JOIN link
